Alterior Motive-poem

When reality sets in
Don't forget who you are
Nor the approaching dark
Bask in it, as you would the sun
For it serves its purpose
In time you will see

When reality sets in
Remember I'm no sage
I have no life-long wisdom
I'm just suggesting, and hoping
That you will be true... to you
And work with the elements of time

When reality sets in
Forget how others see you
Tears aren't weakness
They channel your grief
Leading you to smiles
Guiding you to stronger days

When reality sets in
Remember how I love you
As broken or together as you are
When all these facts are alarming
And they sting you one by one
Embrace the night, and I'll be your Dream
As you fall into me, Goodnight
